Fixing the chairs

Micah had a really good time moving the kitchen chairs around at my mom and dad's house. He played with them for probably 15 minutes just pushing, pulling, and turning them this way and that.

An outing

So, with the warm weather, we took a bike ride over to the park. We had packed some dinner and let Micah swing too. He still has to get used to the helmet.

Baby Micah is 1!

Wow, a year has gone by quickly! Micah isn't walking yet but he sure can get places fast by crawling. And he's very good at climbing the steps and tries to climb up on other things too. We'll have to watch out when he gets taller and can get his leg up higher.
Micah loves to open up the cabinet doors and also likes to take the tops off of things and try to put them back on. He chatters but we can't pick out any distinguishable words just yet.
Last week when we were on vacation with the Van Drunens, we spent time in the pool and Micah is definitely a fan of the water. We want to find some baby swim lessons for him.
As a result of being a busy little boy, the photo attempt didn't pan out yet. We'll try again when John and I can work together to keep his attention and take a picture.

11 mo cntd.

Wow, it's gotten progressively harder to take a photo of Micah with the bear and the block!  Let's just say he's a lot bigger than the bear now.  Time has gone by fast.

11 mo & snow

We got to introduce Micah to snow yesterday.  I'm not sure he knew what to make of it but he didn't seem to mind it.

Crawling is still his preferred mode of travel, and although he'll walk some if we hold his hands, he drops down to his knees before long and hasn't tried to walk on his own.  He does love to dance and bobs his head almost as soon as he hears music!

Micah's newest thing is a little head bob, dance wiggle when music comes on or he gets food that he likes.  Some spoonfuls of yogurt, and we hear lots of "mmm- mmms" and see him wiggle.  It's the cutest! Unfortunately, we haven't really been able to capture it on video because he sees the camera and stops or just smiles at us.  One time, I will be sneaky enough I hope.

10 months

Well, again it's a challenge to get Micah to stay still long enough to take a picture, much less have the comparison to the bear. How did all those parents who did this (from whom I took the idea) do that?  Maybe I don't capitalize on the right time of day.  Anyway, you can see how cute he is and how he loves to stand up.
