Nags Head

Micah turned 3 months old at the beach!
We went to Nags Head with the Kilby group and survived the heat.  Micah didn't seem too excited about it, and he didn't like getting his toes stuck in the rather cool water.
Micah and I also made a trip by ourselves to Orlando for a conference. I was a bit nervous, but Micah slept during the majority of the flight so it was all right.

Micah is quite the "talker" and "goos" at us a lot.  He's a pretty happy little guy and is pretty easy to make smile.  He talks to the toys around him, and sometimes gets pretty mad when I lay him down.  He cries so hard his face gets red and no sound comes out for a few seconds as he throws his head back and forth. He's usually easily distracted with a song though.

8 weeks

Micah is smiling quite a bit- he's a happy little guy!  Yesterday he was smiling and "talking to" the giraffe on the play mat and the Tigger sitting on the changing table.  We're getting in a groove I guess but a schedule is still up in the air. 
We can't find the 7 weeks pictures that I know we took. Had some photo library issues. I don't think he's changed too drastically though so here he is at 8 weeks old.  He weighs 11lbs now, not sure how much he's grown in length but definitely has.

Family

We took Micah to meet his great grandparents over Mother's Day. The trip to Culpeper was a bit of an adventure but we made it through and had a good time seeing the family.

6 weeks (and 2 days)

Well, a couple of hectic days without significant naps, unless he's held, led to the 6 weeks photo being a couple days late. But here it is.

Also, I think we had the first smile a few days ago, but I was able to document this one.  I know I'm biased but he's cute!

5 weeks

He's 5 weeks old already!  It was hard to take his picture because he was kicking like crazy.  He was busy practicing for riding a bike or something.
And it may have been just gas but it did happen three times... after I pocked him up this morning, I said Hi   and it sure did seem like he smiled at me!

4 weeks

It's gotten warm this week, so now you get to see his cute little legs!  How fast a month goes... We're doing well, still figuring each other out and learning.  This really is a hard job and definitely works on one's problem-solving skills.  Ah, but such sweet moments when Micah looks up at me and seems to really be looking at me, hearing his little yawn and having him cuddle into my shoulder.  Cherishing those moments...praying for wisdom during the not so quiet ones.
